content discovered on Friday, February 17, 2012

Pin It I love all things pumpkin. I made these amazing pancakes recently. I love that they are packed with vitamins with the pumpkin in it. Plus, if you use wheat flour, they're even better for you! I also really loved the orange syrup over it- it is so much healthier still so tasty. Pumpkin Pancakes 2 c. flour 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar 1 Tbsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1 1/2 c. milk 1 c. canned pumpkin 2 eggs 2 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 ...

French Dip Bread Roll

content discovered on Thursday, February 16, 2012

Pin It I made a most delicious dinner recently. My family loved it- I did, too. The leftovers were just as delicious as the original. I will definitely be making this again. I saw an idea somewhere to make French dip sandwiches baked in crescent rolls. However, I did a whole bread roll of it. I grew up eating French dip sandwiches. My mom used to make them a lot when we were kids and I remember really loving them. I rarely eat them anymore, though for some reason. So this new simple variation really...

Valentine Mug Cookies

content discovered on Thursday, February 09, 2012

Pin It I had fun experimenting with this recipe. Isaw in a magazine somewhere a cookie that was perched on a mug of hot chocolate. Apparently, there is a special cookie cutter that you can buy to make these, but I did it very easily on my own. Make some sugar cookies- my favorite recipe is below. Roll out the dough and cut into heart shapes. Bake the cookies. Just out of the oven, cut a little slit out of the cookie. I tried doing it before, but they all grew back together while bak...

Coconut-Chocolate Mousse (Dairy Free)

content discovered on Sunday, January 29, 2012

I recently made this simplelittle treat it was so good (so good, that I made it again)! I love that it is dairy free a healthier alternative. Coconut milk is high in fat, but the saturated fat in coconut is quickly turns into energy instead of storing itas fat. Therefore, even though it's high in saturated fat, coconut can aid in weight loss. Coconut milk is quite high in Folate, Iron, Potassium, Vit. C, and many other nutrients as well.Plus, if you have dairy issues, this is a GREAT substitute. ...
