Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Ever since summer camp started last week, Christopher has been getting up later and later each morning. And this morning was no different. Just shortly after six, he still hadn’t arrived at our bedroom door. That’s totally uncharacteristic of him. So I ...

Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 One week of summer camp down, one week to go. Is Christopher enjoying himself? You bet he is! Besides all the junk food he’s eating—McDonalds--, I have absolutely no complaints. Okay, maybe one tiny suggestion. I think they should start earlier, say, 8:00am...

Summer Brain Drain

content discovered on Tuesday, June 26, 2012

Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Back when I went school, summer vacations were the perfect excuse to slack off, be lazy, loaf around the house, hang out with friends and basically forget that school ever existed. I remember how difficult it was for me to reengage, once school started back...

It's Official--School Is Out

content discovered on Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Today was the last day of the school year. Promptly at 12 noon, school ended, not the usual 1:30. Why they decided not to run a full day—1:30 for Pre-Prep, 2:30 for prep, is a mystery to me and a few other parents. “We’re getting out at 12 today”, I sai...

Year 1 In Review: A Look Back

Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 You might be thinking our dog (we don't have a dog, by the way) somehow got hold of this. But you’d be wrong. This bag wasn’t mauled by any four-legged pet we own, but by a 6 year old child. --All work and no play make Jack a dull boy, right? Thank goo...
