Newly returned Camille’s family struggles to adjust to their circumstances, and it appears that there are more “returned” than we know of. Black Pudding is a collaborative album from Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood and it’s quite frankly something to savour, as the infamous hot sauce label says ‘one f—kin drop at a time’. Listening to the album initially you can’t fail but be inspired in to a reminiscence of darker times with the dark guitar based soundscape from Duke Garwood. These are atmospheric tributes to the shadowy regions of life, a dark country vibe characterising them and a film score like intensity bringing an epic quality to th...
The art school like cover art to Just Handshakes’ album Say It is something you can’t help stare at. If you’re in the habit of looking at the jacket of your music before taking it off for listening then it’s entirely possible to look at this sleeve and have no clue what the contents are like. And that’s we love about it – it stands as a contemplative piece of pencil art and perhaps contains a subtle hint of the ingredients of the album. Only a listen can truly tell… Indeed, when the album opens with the...
It’s a boom year for fans of the Purple Yoda this year as a single, this time a Prince featuring credit, goes up on 3rdeyegirl.com. There’s a return of the Camille type voices in the funky mix and the fact it sounds like nothing of the modern times is all for it. Prince has always been a timeless performer and this song takes a funk base, with a pinch of electronic and dub, to create a recipe well worth your 88 cents. Ain’t Gonna Miss U When U’re Gone is something unexpected for the listener, with hi...

The darkness to which the title of this album alludes is not some horror movie cliché but the kind of darkness in which everything is clear in its simplicity. Black and white are apparently not technically colours and although I’d to discuss the how and why’s of just why this might be – I won’t. Suffice to say that listening to this simply paced, organically pleasing musing is akin to enjoying the most perfect homemade produce and although it may not be immediately local, it’s a treat nonetheless. Wit...
With a sound that hits you instantly (and stares at you from the screen of your device as well as climbing in your bed too apparently…) Spider is a nice listen that sounds sparse on initial viewings but really does grow on you. There’s a video released recently that features the band in top flight performance mode with some cool spiders on the drums as well! Check it out below! Seba Rashii Culture appreciates that people may wish to show their love of this website by quoting or using images from it. T...
When we featured Vision Fortune’s recently released new album the review was overwhelmingly positive. And now they’ve gone and released this intriguing new video from the album’s numerically inclined song titles. The seven minute long XVII is one of the albums highlights and is illustrated in this video with a minimal modern dance performance that reflects the eerie ease in which the guitar lines meld and fight so perfectly. Check it out! Seba Rashii Culture appreciates that people may wish to show...
