And the Grammy winner for best cleavage is...Miley Cyrus! The "So Undercover" star was anything but at the 2011 pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday in a dress that left little to the imagination.Cyrus' pink dress included a mesh window that showcased what appeared to be the 18-year-old singer's bra-less chest, while "Undercover" co-star Kelly Osbourne's lace black dress with a sheer top showed off her black bra. Ahead of the Grammy Awards 2011, Miley Cy... read more »
Have you ever come across someone who was an artist and you had no clue who they were but their artistic expression, just leapt out towards you with a very hearty bellowing of, “HELLO”?! You are, rocked, off-balance, saying, “Wait”, stop! Ho Continue reading read more »
Back in 2006, I started painting for lack, in all honesty, of things to do as I was unemployed at the time. Nowadays, to even get the chance to look at a piece that is mine and a painting is rare as gold. So, caught in a moment of reflection recently, and feeling like some exercise, I decided to add a third dimension and see what my pieces would look like outside of the home they decorate. Luckily, I live in a picturesque area, so there were some good results from my little adventure. Check below and s... read more »
Sometimes things just get on top of you and it's as if you're the album at the bottom of the pile gathering dust and burden whilst the albums at the top get picked and flipped more often than a pancake. That's me in recent days, when I've been sneezing for no good reason - demanding the traditional bless you on every occasion too! - and trying to write when it was actually quite hard. It happens to every creative person on occasion be the medium words, clay or stringed instruments, and it does happen to m... read more »
All good things, apparently, must come to an end.Whilst future innovation may change that particular adage, EggSpace's current show - which I have work in - is sadly bound by such a nature. In a normal state of affairs, I'd have been pen-to-the-proverbial-paper writing a review of Winter Blues 5, but as I have two pieces on the walls, I've been taking the artist's stance and letting the word travel to me as to what people thought of the show. What the eloquent critics of the 'Pool haven't done is to actu... read more »
Who is Marko Stout? He is an up and coming artist who makes use of abstract art to explain his perception of the mind and body and its connection to the universe. He's current project called "The Cave" is a compilation of artworks he has done as an expression of his views on how we as humans are trapped in our physical bodies thus being forced to understand our purpose and the nature of the universe through myth, religion and the like. He uses this as a metaphor for our psyche's limitations because we a... read more »
Walking into some establishments is like being an actor is those Westerns where the mere act of wishing to consume a beverage at a bar is tantamount to starting a gunfight. One step into some shows - the small minority I hasten to add - in the Biennial and you were looked at in a manner akin to "this is my art, not yours" and sent packing silently. It wasn't nice to be there, and even if life affirming art experiences were to be had, they weren't there. So much for that avenue! You'd be much better off h... read more »
