here in Cincinnati! The news says that it is 2 degrees at the moment. Oh my gosh - that is just soooo wrong! The only place that it should be that cold is the polar bear exhibit at the zoo. I did get some stamping done the other day, but still need to get pictures taken. I did find this one that I haven't shared yet. I did this awhile ago, but thought it was a good one for today. With it being so cold outside, the Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise combination reminds me of sunshine. Other than the cuttleb... read more »
the run today and nooooo, not from the law. I got home from the office, have taken care of the girls and will be leaving soon to go to a jewelry party. So, this is going to be quick and to the point. Well, that is if I had a point, which I rarely do. I do have a quick little set of cards that I did this weekend. I did them right before considering listing my entire craft room on Craig's list. All for one low price. I had found this Bo Bunny Almond Dot pattern paper in my stash. I paired it up wit... read more »
winter! I know that many of you have had much worse weather than we've had here in Cincinnati and I that shouldn't complain. However, that isn't going to stop me from doing so. I truly can't think of one good thing about winter time. Oh, but Pam, "what about Christmas" you ask. Well, let me tell you. I could just as easily celebrate Christmas in 80 degree temps and would be quite happy doing so. I'm going to have to take a survey of the warmest place to live in the US and contemplate retiring to there. ... read more »
I told you that I would find that blasted robe belt. I had looked high and low, well not really "high" because I'm only 5'2, so how high could it really be?! Last Saturday I did all of my laundry and I don't like to put my pants and sweaters/shirts in the dryer, so I hang them up to dry. Needless to say, I had hangers on every door knob in the house. Anyway, last night I was taking off my bedroom slippers in my closet and when I bent down to tidy them up, I looked over to my left and low and behold what ... read more »
1 to 10, I give this card a 7.5. As you can see, I really like the Year of Flowers: Poinsettia set. Unlike yesterday's card, this one is just the single large image. I stamped it on Pure Poppy card stock and then cut it out. I've been practicing my cutting skills lately, as you will see in the near future. Now I ask you, is there any better color combo than kraft and red? I love it. I paired the Rustic Cream card stock with the Tag Sale #1 die and used Ranger's Antique Linen ink to stamp the imag... read more »
I fell for the sweet comments that were left on the last post from Roxann, Meghan, Sarah, Jen, Jenn and Barb? Oh, don't get me wrong, I LOVE getting comments, but I know what those girls were really saying. They were saying "please dear God, give her at least ONE creative thought so that we don't have to hear another story."And that's okay because I had the very same thought. And I'm happy to report that I did have a couple of creative thoughts. Now don't wet your pants with excitement. They are good car... read more »
this holiday season - joy, love and laughter with those you love. Oh, and LOTS of FABULOUS presents. I'll be expecting a report from each of you as to what Santa leaves under your tree. In the mean time, I thought I would take a minute to share my personal Christmas cards with you. I love going with the non-traditional colors and this little snowman makes me smile. Take a look at that yummy shimmery pink card stock from Papertrey. I used this cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder that my friend R... read more »
with the Christmas cards. The past couple of years I have made Christmas cards for our office to send to the school buildings and individual departments. Thank you Papertrey for making sets that are perfect for making a quick, simple and cute card for any occasion - in this case a Christmas card. By the time I had finished my personal cards, I had to work quick to make the cards to wish our co-workers a happy holiday season. I looked through my sets and quickly decided that Holiday Button Bitswould be ... read more »
for Santa's arrival. Can you believe that the jolly old fellow will be visiting in less than a week?! I live about two minutes from our local shopping mall, Best Buy, Bed, Bath Beyond, Michael's, etc. Yesterday, I ventured out for a few quick errands and OH.MY.WORD. - the traffic was terrible. I ran my errands and had lunch at Max Erma's and then I headed home. I was VERY thankful that my shopping was complete and that I didn't have to venture into that mob to purchase last minute gifts. Friday, my ... read more »
making head way. If I stay on track, I should be ready for Santa's visit. All of my shopping has been done and all the gifts are wrapped and under the tree. And that reminds me of when Whitney was a little girl. I can't tell you how many pictures I have of her backside peeking out from under the tree. At least once each year I would catch her under the tree checking how many gifts had her name on them, with her behind stuck up in the air. Aaahhhhh....sweet memories, but I digress. I did get my Christmas... read more »
