than fresh strawberries? I love strawberries in any form - strawberry pie, strawberry ice cream, strawberry milk shake, strawberry daiquiries....you get the idea. So while I was being "berry" creative (haha hoho hehe) this past weekend - I reached for my new Friendship Jar Summer Fillers and it was a given that I first had to fill my little pint jar with strawberries. First I'll show you the copics that I used to color my "berry" yummy strawberries. I am "berry" happy with the way they turned o... read more »
been hot! It has been so hot that I don't even enjoy going outside. So, this weekend I've spent time in my stamp room. I thought that I would pop in and share one of my little creations with you before heading back in this morning. For my first card I used the stamp set, Iconic Images, that we received in our goodie bag from Papertrey, Ink. I love this stamp set, so I assure you that it will be inked up often. My card base is Terracotta Tile - such a yummy color. I also pulled out my Half Half dies. ... read more »
need a caffeine IV drip. Yep, these should at least pry my eyes open and get my body to move. My friend Roxann and I left my house at 7:45 yesterday morning and I walked back into the house at 12:05 this morning. We attended the Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-Faire at the Duke Convention Center in Cincinnati. OH MY GOSH - it was a SPECTACULAR event. I took 842 pictures throughout the day - okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration. It seems that I do that from time to time, but I DID take over 300. So I wi... read more »
it's Wednesday - which means that tomorrow is Thursday - which in turn means the next day is Friday and you know what that means. THE NEXT DAY IS SATURDAY! And Saturday is when Papertrey Ink comes to Cincinnati!! Can I get a BIG WOO HOO?! I am so excited to meet Nichole and some of her team, but I'm especially happy that I'll get to see my sweet friend, Dawn. I know that she'll be extremely busy, but at least I'll get to give her a big hug and I'm sure there will be time for a couple of laughs. I haven... read more »
a slacker this past week and didn't make a card for the summer card class and it is one of my favorite color combos. Shades of cream, browns and a little punch of red. Such a yummy combo! So I spent some time in my stamp room today and played along. I challenged myself to find products that has seen little to no use for my card and though it is a very simple layout, I love the final product. OH.MY.WORD. - look at this beauty! A while back I bought a package of canvas on one of my visits to Archi... read more »
live from The Patio. The only difference from this photo is that the shade is over the patio and the flowers have grown quite a bit. I am sitting in the chair on the right with my feet propped up on the ottoman, a nice frosty mug of Land Shark on the table to my right and my laptop on my lap. That's why they call it a "laptop". I'm here to help keep you educated on matters like this. Joining me this evening is my trusty side kick, Gracie. The only difference in this photo is that she isn't in my... read more »
and no charges will be brought against you. That's right, someone has stolen my Monday and I would like to have it back. I had several more things that I needed to get accomplished and now it's gone. I spent three, count them THREE hours in my stamp room this past Sunday and how much do you suppose I got done. Now let's give this a little thought. "Three hours", hmmm......maybe 8 cards. Or maybe 5, after all, there has to be some thought that goes in to creating them. Wellllll......you are sooooo wrong... read more »
card and a little chick chat. "Chick" chat - get it? hahaha!! Let's start with the card. As I was rummaging through some drawers in the Zone the other day, I found this black and white checked paper. I loved it when I bought it, but you know how it goes. You buy, come home and put it away....and then totally forget that you have it. Until 17 years later when you are searching for something entirely different and happen to discover it. So I immediately pulled that delightful piece of paper out of the d... read more »
for this week's card camp color combo. I'm not totally thrilled with the final product. I feel like it is "missing" something. After stamping the focal image, I just felt like there was too much white space and no matter what I tried, I didn't like it. So, when all else fails, add some pearls. The ribbon is Simply Chartreuse and the background is a SU! texturz plate. I used New Leaf and Summer Sunrise inks. There you have it. A quick little ditty from me to you. I hope that you are havi... read more »
89 products to make this card. Well, maybe not 89 but my desk looks as though I did. This is week 2 of summer card camp and check out the color combo we are to use. WOW! Does this scream summer?! I KNOW!!! In honor of the rain that we had earlier, I pulled out Scattered Showers for my card. It seemed most fitting for the day. I used Papertrey's Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy, Simply Chartreuse and New Leaf for my combo. I know that you are probably chomping at the bits to know how I put this ... read more »
