Welcome Baby Girl There are just some things I can't resist. One of them being products from http://www.craftysecrets.com/products.htmland their monthly LINKY PARTY found herehttp://heartwarmingvintage.blogspot.ca/ I've been in love with their products for a very long time. What I like the most is the fact that they have a ton of digital items available, making it easy to simply choose your favorite designand print it out. However, most of my Crafty Secrets collection is in HARD copy. Their items ar... read more »
(Click on photos for larger image)I've actually been done with this project for some time now but I was putting off the blog because I wanted to make a frame for it. A blue version of the sock monkey I made a few months back. I was also working on a pink one but I set it aside for now. A recent request. I can't wait to see how it looks! I get a lot of beauty samples in the mail for free, I also subscribe to a few "beauty box" programs and I'm starting to become overwhelmed with products! I have so much that I can't even keep track of it all and I end up letting things expire or dry out before I even use them. I've also developed this new found obsession with nail polish and again, have no where to keep it all, so here's the start to what I've come up with: I found these "jewelry organizers" at Ross for around $13. The one shown here ha... read more »
Wanted to share with everyone a baby shower gift that I made last week. Although I always put my own spin on everything, I can't take credit for the base patterns, (except for the blanket, which is very basic). This set turned out adorable! You can find the hat pattern here. I altered the pattern to a newborn size simply by using a thinner yarn and smaller needle. I didn't change the stitches. You can also find the basic pattern for the diaper cover here. Only thing I did different there is line the cov... read more »
I'm deeply in love with Pinterest. The things I see on there! Mason jars are EVERYWHERE. And one of the coolest ones I saw was turning regular old clear glass into blue.So pretty. So I did it myself for some vases for a baby shower I'm hosting. From August 2011 From August 2011 From August 2011 It's not quite as smooth or as clear as I would like. I need to mess with my glue to water ratio. I did exactly as she said and mine are cloudier than hers.I'm thinking I'll wash them off one more tim... read more »
The kids artwork line-I can't get enough of this. This project was long over due and can't imagine, life now, without it.I've been envisioning it for quite a very long timeTa-daaaaaaaa! So, below the big picture wall in the kitchen I had Charlie find the studs and hescrewed two eye hooks into the wall. Then we added this heavy wire and straightened the wire, because we like everything straight, of course, and the wire naturally likes to turn. Then I just took basic office clips and they slide across th... read more »
