Camiguin Summer Getaway

content discovered on Thursday, May 02, 2013

Finally! After weeks and weeks of being idle, I am now able to blog and share to you guys my 2-day Camiguin getaway. Last April 19-21, I, together with my workmates, went to Camiguin to have fun under the sun (and rain). Haha! Seriously, it was a perfect escape from the city and we were able to relax without worrying anything about work. *wink* We actually had to travel for about 12 hours from Cebu City to Camiguin via Super Shuttle Ferry, and yeah it was quite long, however, worth it! :D Early in the... read more »

Welcome Home, Sophie

content discovered on Tuesday, February 12, 2013

I am up to my ears writing my next (really long--sorry) review, but I had to share this piece of news with all of you instantly.  You know I love Liv dolls, and maybe you remember that I have this strange desire to own all of the Liv Sophie dolls.  This obsession started when Spin Master released their second wave of Liv dolls, and I didnt think I should buy all of the characters again so soon.  I mean, the dolls look pretty similar from one wave to the next and they arent free.  So, I decided to buy jus... read more »

Olango My Getaway: The Discoral or Baile Escapade

content discovered on Friday, December 21, 2012

Photo courtesy of Herbert Kikoy. When everybody was told that we'd be going to a baile, everybody got excited. We all thought it was the old-fashioned baile that still lingered in Olango Island. It turned out to be the disco we know in the city. It's just the old word "baile" that got stuck until today. Even so, it did not make the escapade less enjoyable. In fact, we had the time of our lives! When we arrived on our first baile or discoral in Talima, we came in as reserved as their residents but... read more »

Olango My Getaway: Shanky Baby Finally Meets Pa...

content discovered on Friday, December 21, 2012

When we finally got to Olango Island through a bangka, excitement was very much evident on all our faces. As we were waiting for the shuttle to take us to our host in Olango Island, we were handed down pieces of bread that I have not encountered yet. They call it Pan Bisaya. Pan comes from the Spanish word which means bread and Bisaya is a word which is a name that denotes to people living in the Visayas or people speaking the Bisaya dialect. Pan Bisaya has a similar physical appearance with ... read more »
