Something Hopeful

content discovered on Wednesday, May 01, 2013

Just as the dusk reluctantly surrenders to the night And the everyday noises transform to ghostly in nature Just as the moon beams jettison across a lonely corridor And the shadows waltz unobserved Just I have given up hope of any miracle It is at that point my heart skips a beat And I clumsily swallow a breath, Because I can hear the creak on the stairs And I know something hopeful is finally coming into my lifebobby stevenson 2013 read more »

April 25,2013 9:48 amMany Families in Uganda find it hard to provide for their children.A typical family will earn $1-$2 a day. The Inner Path: No Need For Disappointments

content discovered on Thursday, April 25, 2013

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.Martin Luther King, Jr. You're disappointed, again. You failed your exam, your favorite sports team lost, you dropped your iPad, your heel broke. Let's face it, your expectations were unfulfilled and the feeling of dissatisfaction that follows begins to manifest. You're angry, sad, hurt and fearful. You don't take disappointments well. You just don't know how to deal with it and want to give in. But don't let disappointments take a toll ... read more »

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Recently I started reading the book Far From the Tree by Andrew Solomon. Even though my disease has been passed down in my family for four generations now, this book got me really thinking. I haven’t finished reading it yet, but it made me think about my own identity with my experiences.... read more »

Time

content discovered on Tuesday, March 12, 2013

12 days from now is Trey's 4th Birthday, 13 days after that is his Angel Day.25 days seems like a long time compared to the short time we had with our son. It seems like a lifetime to me, a time I wish would pass quickly and peacefully. Usually the time passes much easier than this and I often expect for each year to get better. This has been a shitty year for me to say the least. The hammer has dropped at work, Lorelei is a savant in the terrible 2's (which is not a problem for me but it tries my husban... read more »

Four

content discovered on Saturday, March 09, 2013

I have always been a numbers person. Some time ago I wrote a post about the number connections surrounding our journey. Before we lost Trey, my favorite number was five, although I always eat candies in 2's. The volume of ANY electrical device HAS to be a multiple of 5. Tips at restaurants are given based on multiples of 5. I have always wanted three children, a family of five. At the time of my pregnancy, we had 4 animal children and were expecting or human child, 5 kids in all. The warmth and connectio... read more »

A Tiny Heart to Mend

content discovered on Wednesday, March 06, 2013

I am still friends with many of my high school friends, some more intense than others. When Trey passed, so many people I knew from high school on Facebook reached out to me, including those friends who I had lost contact with. It was such a bittersweet blessing that brought so many people so close together. Two of the friends I reconnected with fell in love and married. They had a daughter who had a rare condition that caused one half of her body to grow faster than the other which I am sure has had i... read more »

I have been working on my online shop over at ArtFire a lot lately. So I have not had any time to blog and I apologize for that. It has been a long road as far as getting good pictures. You can check out my jewelry blog for all the great new items there. I wanted to share with you a fun picture of my baby girl today :) Baby Dust to Al... read more »
