Hand Spun

content discovered on Sunday, March 17, 2013

Ive been spinning for a few years now, and my stash of hand-spun yarn keeps growing and growing. I know this is not news for any of us that spin our yarn, but Im selling and using less of my stash and producing more. When I want to knit something in particular, it gives me a special joy [...] read more »

Knitting...

content discovered on Saturday, January 05, 2013

A dip in temperature scales added with foggy mornings are keeping schools closed in this month of January, while children less likely to get up early and go frequently outdoors.. Attracted by various bright coloredwoolenyarns displayed in a shop during my last visit to the market prompted me to buy some wool without giving a second thought what I would do with it.. The finished piece

content discovered on Saturday, November 10, 2012

I finally put the piece together. Well, actually I just had to seam the two sides where the armholes are. Im very happy with the colors, however, I could add a few more stitches at the bottom of the piece for a more comfortable fit. Im ready to start my week after being away for a few days. Yarnival was a lot of fun! The location itself was beautiful. My booth was nestled amongst pear tress and big redwoods. The weather was hot enough for me and everyone around was excited and happy to be at the event. I met [...] read more »

First Knitting Success

content discovered on Thursday, March 22, 2012

I am showing off my very first successful knitting project. I have been practicing how to knit for months now and voila! Made my very first head warmer, headband, head protector, head gear, etc... You can call it any names but I really love my creation! I bought the imported yarn in SM City, Cebu where they featured their sale items and loved the thick yarn which made it easier for me to knit than thin yarns. Anyway, I hope you'll also love it especially the color combination. I plan to make more if I... read more »
