Scratching The Surface: BREAKING DAWN PART TWO

content discovered on Sunday, March 17, 2013

No idea who this characterisbut she apparentlywarrantsher own poster.Once more into the fray, Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live and die on this day, Live and die on this day. The podcast version of this feature was a fun experiment but I'm going back to our previously scheduled format for the last TWILIGHT entry. I've made an important decision that will have a great impact on my life's future happiness. This is the last time I'm ever going to watch a TWILIGHT movie. Because I just can... read more »

Scratching The Surface: BREAKING DAWN PART I

content discovered on Monday, March 11, 2013

I decided to do a podcast version of "Scratching The Surface" for the first installment of BREAKING DAWN. I thought it would be easy. I was wrong. I was so wrong. It turns out I am not at all savvy with audio files and html code. Now that I've finally figured all this shit out, I realize I made it more difficult on myself than it needed to be. Isn't that always the way though? Here I was thinking this would be so much simpler and easier than having to type out all my commentary while watching the movie. L... read more »

Scratching The Surface: ECLIPSE

content discovered on Thursday, March 07, 2013

The competition is fierce but if you put a gun to my head (please don't), I'd have to say that ECLIPSE is the worst of the TWILIGHT films. Let's consider its rivals for that honor. The first film at least has the task of setting up the story and there's some dramatic interest in Bella discovering Edward's secret. The second onehas her cozying up to Jacob and learning his secrets. And the two final installments benefit from being directed by Bill Condon, easily the most talented of the four TWILIGHT direc... read more »

Scratching The Surface: NEW MOON

content discovered on Tuesday, March 05, 2013

In many ways, NEW MOON is the defining entry in "The Twilight Saga". The first film was made for about $12 and director Catherine Hardwicke brought a scrappy, indie vibe to it, while not exactly disguising the fact that she thought the story was silly. While the movie was a huge hit, I don't think the head honchos at Summit Entertainment cared for her approach to the material. So they fired her and brought in Chris Weitz as the new director. Weitz was a semi-respectable filmmaker with at least one classi... read more »

Scratching The Surface: TWILIGHT

content discovered on Tuesday, February 19, 2013

I'm feeling a bit snarky today, so I thought I'd invent a new feature where I basically just make fun of terrible movies while watching them. I think it's good to stay positive but let's face it--some days you need to vent.It wasn't difficult to pick my first victim. I have been gearing up to write about TWILIGHT for a while. I must admit that I am fascinated by the popularity of this series. Why? It's difficult to articulate actually. If they were just a set of mopey romance movies nobody cared about, I... read more »

SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN

content discovered on Saturday, January 26, 2013

I felt bad about dissing this movie in my 2012 year-end write-up while giving my thoughts on MIRROR MIRROR. I hadn't seen it yet so it felt unfair for me to pass judgment. The only way I could think to make amends was to just watch the damn thing and give it a fighting chance.Turns out my instincts were on the money. I don't have too much to say about SNOW WHITE THE HUNTSMAN. It is standard fantasy boilerplate, as bland a production as I could've possibly anticipated. Rather than take the "Snow White" f... read more »

get the look : kristen stewart

content discovered on Monday, December 17, 2012

So, I am still on the fence on whether or not i "like" Kristen Stewart, but I do not have a single doubt in my mind that I absolutely love her stylist! "k-stew" as her fans like to refer to her (which to me, sounds like some god awful crockpot dish) showed up at the screening of "On the Road" looking absolutely fabulous in a pair of faux leather skinny pants by HM. Although HM is one of the lower priced retailers, at $149 those amazing pants are still a little bit out of reach to be considered budgetcons... read more »

ANEticipating Movie: The Twilight Saga: Breakin...

content discovered on Friday, November 23, 2012

If you’ve been following me for quite sometime now, then you all know I am a huge Twifan. I have read the books more times than I can remember and I have practically memorized the lines from the movie. Yes, I am that much of a Twifan. I even have the Jacob doll to prove [...] read more »

Kristen Stewart Breaks Robert Pattinson’s Heart

content discovered on Wednesday, August 22, 2012

I am a Twihard and I love everything Twilight, the movies included, even though they’re not as good as the books, thanks to Taylor Lautner. Anyway, it breaks my heart to learn that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have broken up, even though they haven’t really admitted to people that they were actually dating, until [...] read more »

Breaking news: Kristen Stewart wore JEANS TO A WEDDING.I seriously cannot believe that the press is making this into such a story.Huffington Post:Okay Kristen Stewart, we get it. You're so laid back.
