We fought the crowds during our trip to Atlanta. Apparently, since it's Memorial Day weekend, both a long weekend and the first one of the summer holidays, everybody decided that it was a good time to visit Atlanta. The crowds were horrible. But the trip to LLDC was kind of fun.The fabulous Fox Theater: We met Farah and the boys there for a little while. They built cars, and had a chance to race them too! That was on Saturday afternoon. And on Sunday, The Georgia Aquarium. Pics to follow soon. read more »

Legoland Florida

Our trip to Legoland was definitely Bilal's favorite day in Orlando. Although, there wasn't a single ride in the park that was too big for him to go on, yet he avoided all the roller coasters, even the tamest one. The colors of the park were bright and vivid, and how can you not love seeing this? The website for the theme park states that the park is designed for families with children age 2-12, and I think that's pretty much right on. Not to say the 13 and 16 year old kids didn't have fun, but there wa... read more »

Day 3 in Orlando

content discovered on Wednesday, March 21, 2012

We drove down to Orlando on Saturday for Spring Break, bringing Bilal's bug along with us. Actually, he was starting to feel better and even ate a little bit of breakfast without throwing it up, but he did share... a little bit. By Sunday I was feeling queasy with body aches, and this was soon followed by Hamza and Safa, who threw up, just a couple of hours apart, last night. We've managed to treat the kids symptomatically with Tylenol for the body aches and Benadryl for nausea, so it's not been too bad.... read more »

Colorful little bricks!

content discovered on Thursday, July 15, 2010

Who knew that the LEGO company's 'Automatic Binding Bricks' of 1949 would turn into this timeless phenomenon? Our visit to the Legoland Discovery Center has to be one of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. It is actually located outside of the city, so it took a trip on the Blue line nearly all the way to O'Hare and then a bus ride from there to go to the Museum, but worth the trip for sure! So much excitement! (And that's the 'before' picture!) The boys loved to see the large models of Darth Vader a... read more »
