After the flood and surviving typhoon Helen, Filipinos are again deeply saddened as a private plane crashed yesterday, around 4pm, 18th of August, off a shore Masbate City, south of Manila. As a professor in the College Department of the Liceo De Masbate, I was given the privilege to join a worthy occasion that is the Gift Giving Activity of the institution whose recipients were the different barangays of the City of Masbate. This activity was spearheaded by no other than Msgr. Claro Caluya, the President of the school who also celebrated his birthday a day after the activity. I was recently made resource speaker to the Leadership Training Program for High School Students of the City Division of Masbate, held at the Student Center of the Masbate National Comprehensive High School last November 12, 2011.
