I've been on the hunt for this L'Oreal Confetti nail polish for a while now, so when I spotted it in a local Boots store, I grabbed it straight away, and it's definitely been worth my wait! It really is the perfect top coat if you're looking for something a little bit quirky and different. It's jam packed full of black and white glitter particles, but they're matte, so there's no disco ball nails going on here, it's a much classier look. It took me a while to decide which polish to apply it on top of... read more »
I was a bit naughty yesterday and spent money on three nail varnishes that I really, really didn't need, but I couldn't resist. Generally, I'm not even a fan of Barry M nail polish, but after reading so many lovely reviews of the new Gelly formula and seeing the amazing colours, I just had to give them a go. I stood in Boots with about seven different shades in my hand, telling myself that I couldn't buy them all, and slowly eliminated them one by one until these three beauties remained. I did only wan... read more »
Hi! Hello! How are you?I thought I would do a little nail tutorial type thing today. I've been inspired by a picture I saw a while ago of Katy Perry's nails. Katy rocked these nails back in 2009 for the MTV EMAs in Berlin. Her look was created with Swarovski crystals, alot of them! My recreation will be a little less extravagant I'm afraid. Here's my version of it. If I had more patience I would do all the nails, but for a first attempt, the ring finger nail will have to do! For the silver, I used ... read more »
Models Own: Snow White Butter London: Frilly Knickers It's snowing in the North East! I must be psychic, because a couple of days ago I painted my nails and they turned out to look like snowflakes... they're really pretty, but I was a little paranoid they looked too Christmassy. Now that we have snow, they look perfect! I've only worn white nails once before, and I wasn't much of a fan, this time around though, just with the simple glitter topcoat, I love them. I also think that the Models Own white ... read more »
Essie - Lapiz Of Luxury I'm really loving this shade of blue nail varnish, I just had to show you this photo. Essie polish is totally worth the hype, and as you can see in this picture, it has such a lovely glossy finish, you'd think that I'd used a top coat, but I haven't I promise! I always find that it lasts a really decent amount of time before chipping too. I think I might treat myself to a few more colours before Christmas, any recommendations? You can see my mini Essie collectionhere. read more »
A couple of weeks ago I decided to take advantage of the 50% off sale which Models Own were holding online. Last time they did one of these big sales I bought loads of polishes, and promised myself that I would do the same if they did it again. As Models Own are one of my favourite nail polish brands, it really is too good an offer to miss out on. I bought (from l-r in the top image) a back up of Juicy Jules; one of my favourite nail polishes ever. I've used mine so much, I'm surprised I haven't run out... read more »
Stargazer Nail Polish - 506 At between £2 and £3 each, Stargazer nail polishes really are a brilliant budget beauty buy! This colour is number 506, which is from the creme range of polishes. It took three coats of polish to achieve this colour, but the polish dries really quickly, and goes on really smoothly, so it's no hassle... and definitely worth it.It's a lovely. creamy consistency and on the nails it's really glossy.I'm definitely going to try more shades from Stargazer... which are your favourit... read more »
