I have been living in the United States since 1995. That's seventeen years, quite a long time. I've had many addresses during those years; I've lived in Connecticut and Hawaii, and we finally made our home in Alabama. After having filed my application for naturalization in December, I completed the next step today; fingerprinting at our local application office. My appointment was at 10am, so to be on the safe side I planned on getting there a few minutes early. I walked in at 9:40am, filled out a short form, and was immediately taken back for fingerprinting and to have my photo taken. Ten minutes after arriving, I was already in the car, headed back home.
