Sometimes I really doubt our society is as evolved as we pretend to be. I mean it's absolutely revolting that in this century the internet is a total crap, even on land, not to mention the ship which is basically ripping passengers and crew of their money. It took me 45 minutes to just open my blog's page! Yahoo, Facebook, GMail...don't even think about going anywhere close to them! So I got off the ship today, in Dover port, UK with huge hopes for a speedy internet and good quality food and coffe... read more »
No, my dear friends, I am not done blabbering about how cool and great and awesome I was during this new challenge in my life, my trip to Norway to join both my husband and the ship we'll be working on (Knocking on Norway's door - part-1). All for the sa... read more »

It's also listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List as the best preserved attraction. Over there are some of thenarrowestfjords in the world and I had the honor to see the immense talent of the cruise ship's captains I've been traveling with, sailing that huge ship inside those tight passages, having the feeling that if I'd try to I could touch the fjords with ... read more »
When I picked up "We Die Alone" from the library I didn't remember anything about it. Couldn't help but wonder why I'd pick out (yet another) depressing book. The title is misleading - the meaning is without the help of others, we'll die alone. This book, a nonfiction accountof a WWII survival story, proves that without question.Honestly, this is one of the most incredible survival stories I've ever read, and I've read quite a few. At the start, the author, David Howarth, states that all he wrote really h... read more »
