POP ART PAINTING "HAPPY TIGER"

content discovered on Saturday, August 02, 2014

This painting was my second attempt in pop art. I found this style extremely easy and fun. This image was painted with acrylic on 50x50 cm canvas.Firstly I marked guidlines with pencil. Then started working on eyes. Warm colous (reds, oranges, yallow) used to reflect highlights, cold (greens, blues) colours for shadows and downlights. Summer Brief - Animals of Africa: 7. Giraffe

content discovered on Monday, July 21, 2014

For our assignment we have to lie about what we do over the holidays, and I think this fits in well, as I can say I went on a safari and drew the animals I saw there. I've now started adding surfaces/textures to the animals using Brusho, Acylic Paint and a 1.2mm Molotow Black marker. You can find the original drawings of the animals I am working with in the links down below. Giraffe ... read more »

The goal for the year is 12, but once classes start again this fall there just won't be time to paint.Painting has also been very therapeutic, as usual. So that's good, and lends to less writing. It's providing a lot of time to think about things...and people...in between trying to get shadows and angles right. But we're not here today to talk about painting, or wr... read more »
