Freelancer a full ou part-time?!

content discovered on Wednesday, May 15, 2013

He doesn't quite understand repurposing

content discovered on Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Apparently, in The Boy's UPK class, they are learning about recycling, up-cycling, and re-purposing. Big words for kids that are 4 and 5. When The Boy told me about it, I nodded and said "that's great, it's important to cycle and repose," having no clue what the hell he was talking about.Flash forward two hours later, and it sort of just "became clear" what he was talking about, even though he doesn't quite understand re-purposing yet.Imagine if you will.....Mommy's downstairs collecting laundry from the... read more »

Finland and South Korea ar... read more »

Do You Make These 3 Mistakes in Expression?

content discovered on Thursday, February 21, 2013

We always intend to say what we mean, but do we always actually say what we mean? ‘She strode straight through the door.’ So, is ‘she’ a superhero, a ghost, or blind? She might well have walked straight through the open doorway. But it’s doubtful she ploughed through the barrier itself. A small adjustment, but one that’s vital to the correct understanding of your words. ‘Your not getting you’re wicked way with me.’ I know; you wouldn’t dream of doing this. But you’d be surprised how many times the p... read more »

American Resolutions Part 2: Greed

content discovered on Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Welcome! Welcome, to American Resolutions Part 2. Today, America, we will talk about the third of the seven deadly sins: greed. You've all heard from the major religions everywhere (and just innate morality) that greed is a sin against God and immoral. Yet, surprisingly enough, people are more greedy than they ever were. So, what has happened my dearest America? Were we always this way? Could it be that our culture is shaping us all into the zombie consumers you see all the time at 24 hour shopping malls?... read more »
