This post is in honor of Mothers day next week.I checked the instructions. A line and a blue cross. Terrified, I checked the directions again. Did I pee on the stick right? I wasn't sure, so this time I peed in a cup and dipped the other test in the pee. I put the cap on and carefully set the test back on the counter. I went to the living room and tried to watch t.v to wait for the 3 minutes, but my mind was reeling. Was I really pregnant? I glanced out the window down our long snow-drifted driveway. Mr. President Barack Obama,As the leader of the free world I'm sure you are a very busy man, so I will try and make this brief. I am a young mother of six beautiful children. I am a Pro-Life wife, a devout Catholic, and an Army veteran. I know you have very little respect for the opinions or values of pro-lifers like myself, and I'm sure that what I have to say will not move you in any way whatsoever towards the plight of the unborn. However, since we still have free speech in America, I cannot stand by ... read more »

April 4, 2013 It was 2 in the midnight when I felt lower back pains and mild contractions. I tried to ignore it but it's getting more painful and I couldn't sleep. I decided to monitor my contractions using an application I downloaded on my phone. I was having contractions every 6-7 minutes for 50-60 sec. It was consistent for 1 hour and was getting closer. I woke my husband up and I asked him to take my blood pressure using a digital blood pressure device that was lend to us by my aunt. There is this ... read more »
Ah yes, its Thursday, and the weather has once again dropped 40 degrees overnight, bringing lots of rain with it. Personally, I like it better than the 80 degrees it was yesterday. But I digress, as usual. Today, I was pondering on the fact that Leelou will be 1 year old in about two [...] read more »
April 1, 2013 After my OB-Gyne sent us back home, she advised that I should have a soft diet and complete bed rest. My husband took 5 days leave to take care of me. How sweet, right? :) He prepares food for me and he makes sure that we follow the soft diet. He would get mad at me whenever he sees me walking around the house. I don't know, I just can't stay in bed all day. I don't like to use bed pan and I also don't like to depend everything to my husband. But I know he is just concern about me and ou... read more »
March 29, 2013 This is the scariest part of my pregnancy that we didn't expect to happen. At first I thought I was just experiencing Braxton Hicks Contractions. I felt an unexplainable pain around my belly then it started to contract. I thought I just have to poof and so I did but the pain didn't go away and the contractions are beginning to berhythmic. I lay down on the sofa and tried to control the pain but it didn't work. So my husband called my OB-Gyne and we were advised to go to the Emergency Roo... read more »

So the number 4 creeps into my life once again with it's tail between it's legs. During the time of Trey's short life, the number 4 resonated, from his time of birth to his time of passing. Everything was connected to the number 4. My lucky number has always been 5 but 4 trumped it in the depths of our grief. This year, Trey would have been 4 and this year he had hi 4th Angelversary. At this point we are a family of 4, John and I and our 2 children. Months ago I decided that I wanted to try for another ba... read more »
Baby at 7 weeks and 1 day :) Healthy with a heartbeat!Since the last time I blogged, I talked about my experience with a toddler. And lo and behold, I am now talking about expecting baby number 2! That's right...that fast! We'll not really that fast..unlike Jessica Simpson who got pregnant again just a few months after having her first child. But who's counting? Jejo and I are both very happy and consider this a blessing. They say pregnant women are lucky charms, so why not right? This might be a good ye... read more »
