What is wrong with the black community in Balti...

In one word: Apathetic.WARNING: GRAPHIC ASSAULT AND LANGUAGEThese people are barbaric, and I hope the police don't try to sugarcoat this situation. If the tables were turned, and it was a black man being attacked, beaten, robbed, and then stripped naked, while a bunch of white people stood around and laughed and videotaped it, I'm sure Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, would be all over this story. They would scream about racism, and demand someone be held accountable. So are these attackers racists? Is thi... read more »

Pulled the Hoodies out the closet for Trayvon

Discovered on Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Some times we have to stop pay homage to the young people who will never live to see my age and beyond. In case you haven't been paying attention, the country has erupted with the controversial killing of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. About a month ago, as he was walking home from the store, he was shot and killed by neighborhood watch George Zimmerman (he claimed self defense and has yet to be arrested).Zimmerman retains his innocence and says he shot Trayvon out of self defense. Now mind you Trayvon was ... read more »

Travon Martin, Disenfranchisement, Truth, Recon...

Discovered on Monday, March 26, 2012

This is merely a suggestion. We have never had a Truth and Reconciliation Process here. If it works in South Africa and Rwanda, why not here? The only strike against us is that it should have been done 100 years ago. Another perfect time would be when the Civil Rights Act (1964) and the Voting Rights Act (1965.) In spite of the best efforts on the right, strongholds of the Democratic Party, like students and minorities, are being disenfranchised now. But I refuse to think it's too late. In fact, it may b... read more »

This Itap lecture was given by Vince Gould focusing in on the idea and importance of communicating concept. He spoke about two very strong performance and conceptual artists Adrian Piper and Jenny Holzer. Adrian Piper who's work I had been previously aware of did a lot of work where by she would publicly perform what may be considered strange acts like those seen below and obseverve the publics reactions to it. It soon became apparent to herm that actually instead of the notion that being different make... read more »

Islamic Apartheid: Mecca and Medina

Discovered on Tuesday, November 29, 2011

According to Saudi Arabian Law it is illegal for any non-Muslim to step foot in the cities of Mecca and Medina. In Medina however, non-Muslims are allowed to enter the Sheraton hotel on the outskirts of town. The Islamists allow a man made exception in their divinely inspired Shariah for the Sheraton Hotel Corporation, yet they make no exception for anyone else. The equivalent of the Mecca/Medina Apartheid would be the Vatican issuing a decree excluding all non-Catholics/Christians from entering Vatican ... read more »
