In college, I remember my parents asking me what I was going to do with an English degree. I had no idea. All I knew was that I liked to read and write. Lucky for me, my degrees have taken very good care of me. These days, I don't get to use my writing skills as much as I used to, but that's about to change. My dad keeps a running list of every book he's ever read. It is really, really long. So long, he has to go back and reread some of the books because he doesn't remember their storyline. This got me ... read more »

I apologize for the lapse.Part of the reason why I haven't posted is the above title. Another part is this time and courage it took for me to actually sit down and write this post.Inspiration for this post comes from the amazing courage and strength it took for CJ Redwine to speak out about her opposition to censorship and the fact... read more »

It's quite a good little romance. Both the heroine and the hero were well developed and unlike many books where there isn't a lot of scenes between the two main characters the wonderful Duke (the main man) is teasing, admonishing or laughing with the heroine, Aurelia, eve... read more »

This fantasy was recommended by readers on Goodreads. Had I realised, before I started to read, that this book is aimed at young adults, I probably wouldn't have bothered. The book is the third in a trilogy, so certain aspects only grew clear as this section of the tale unfolded. But the author has woven the fabric of his fiction with such skill that I was prepared to put up with references that initially ... read more »
