¡MALDITO ELEFANTE!
No idea who this characterisbut she apparentlywarrantsher own poster.Once more into the fray, Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live and die on this day, Live and die on this day. The podcast version of this feature was a fun experiment but I'm going back to our previously scheduled format for the last TWILIGHT entry. I've made an important decision that will have a great impact on my life's future happiness. This is the last time I'm ever going to watch a TWILIGHT movie. Because I just can... read more »
I decided to do a podcast version of "Scratching The Surface" for the first installment of BREAKING DAWN. I thought it would be easy. I was wrong. I was so wrong. It turns out I am not at all savvy with audio files and html code. Now that I've finally figured all this shit out, I realize I made it more difficult on myself than it needed to be. Isn't that always the way though? Here I was thinking this would be so much simpler and easier than having to type out all my commentary while watching the movie. L... read more »
The competition is fierce but if you put a gun to my head (please don't), I'd have to say that ECLIPSE is the worst of the TWILIGHT films. Let's consider its rivals for that honor. The first film at least has the task of setting up the story and there's some dramatic interest in Bella discovering Edward's secret. The second onehas her cozying up to Jacob and learning his secrets. And the two final installments benefit from being directed by Bill Condon, easily the most talented of the four TWILIGHT direc... read more »
In many ways, NEW MOON is the defining entry in "The Twilight Saga". The first film was made for about $12 and director Catherine Hardwicke brought a scrappy, indie vibe to it, while not exactly disguising the fact that she thought the story was silly. While the movie was a huge hit, I don't think the head honchos at Summit Entertainment cared for her approach to the material. So they fired her and brought in Chris Weitz as the new director. Weitz was a semi-respectable filmmaker with at least one classi... read more »
I'm feeling a bit snarky today, so I thought I'd invent a new feature where I basically just make fun of terrible movies while watching them. I think it's good to stay positive but let's face it--some days you need to vent.It wasn't difficult to pick my first victim. I have been gearing up to write about TWILIGHT for a while. I must admit that I am fascinated by the popularity of this series. Why? It's difficult to articulate actually. If they were just a set of mopey romance movies nobody cared about, I... read more »
No one has ever swooned over a zombie. Well, maybe one of those goth girls you knew in high school who would hang out in the cemetery smoking cigarettes and painting her nails black. But that girl either grew out of that phase or died in a meth lab explosion. The point being that zombies, unlike vampires, are not inherently sensual beings. They are known primarily for staggering around, eating brains and decomposing. So the idea of a romantic comedy with a zombie as the lead is a funny one. But you can... read more »
If you’ve been following me for quite sometime now, then you all know I am a huge Twifan. I have read the books more times than I can remember and I have practically memorized the lines from the movie. Yes, I am that much of a Twifan. I even have the Jacob doll to prove [...] read more »
I am a Twihard and I love everything Twilight, the movies included, even though they’re not as good as the books, thanks to Taylor Lautner. Anyway, it breaks my heart to learn that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have broken up, even though they haven’t really admitted to people that they were actually dating, until [...] read more »
