Law School Bubble Inflation And Debt Intensifying

content discovered on Sunday, April 21, 2013

TaxProf Blog featured a post by an Ohio State University professor named Deborah Jones Merritt predicting how much more expensive law school will become and the kinds of payments graduates would have to make on their student loans. If this does not dissuade others to not seriously consider law as a viable career path, then what else will? It's Pajama Day!

There is a fundraising program underway at Bilal's school this week. As of yesterday his class had raised the most donations for the Boosterthon Fun Run, scheduled to be held next Thursday. So in honor of being ahead, his class was allowed to wear PJs to school today. And yes, he did wear sneakers; he did not go barefoot to school! I have no idea why he looks so sleepy in the photo, though. He did not roll out of bed and come downstairs without changing, in fact he put on a clean pair of PJs this mornin... read more »

Our Silver class haveproduced another drama! Our incredibly talented students were given the project one Friday. They had to think about what they wanted to write about, plan each scene and finally act it out in front of the camera. The results were spectacular! Watch this video for gritty drama and some wonderful performances. read more »

Unde-s comediile de altadata?

content discovered on Sunday, April 14, 2013

Acele filme erau totale, [...] read more »

Spring Formal

content discovered on Sunday, April 14, 2013

Last Friday was the Shades Valley High School prom, and yesterday was JCIB's Spring Formal/ prom. We took Safa down to the Botanical Gardens to have some photos with her classmates, before they all went out to dinner. Sigh, the reality is really kicking in. This is her junior year, she is growing up, and before we know it, will be heading off to college. Just one more year to savor. This summer she'll be touring colleges, and likely by this time next year she'll know where she plans to spend the next f... read more »

Pride and Prejudice

content discovered on Saturday, April 13, 2013

My daughter got asked to prom. For those of you who just shrugged your shoulders, this is a big deal for a home schooled kid and her over protective father. I, however, want her to go and to have one of the most wonderful experiences of her life. What convinced me wasnt my daughter’s obvious desire to [...] read more »

Did You Ever Read NEVER SECONDS?

content discovered on Saturday, April 13, 2013

What happens when a 9 year old girl is disappointed in her school lunch and takes a picture of the food and sticks it on her blog? The princi-PAL tells her to shut up about the food of course! That's how the whole thing started. Of course this was very embarrassing for the school once the whole story got out, because of all the low vitamin, msg-filled, skimpy, highly addictive, obesity-inducing food served in the Scotish-English school system.Since then Veg, as she is called has been happily blogging and... read more »

Open House and a music program

content discovered on Thursday, April 04, 2013

Monday evening we went to Bilal's school for his music program. It was short and sweet, just four songs, but the gym was packed. The school is expanding so much that the first grade program had to be divided into two evenings. It was great to see so many parents and grandparents there supporting the kids. Unfortunately even though we got to school on time we had to sit quite far back and didn't have a great view of Bilal. But overall watching the kids was a lot of fun. At least we were able to take a pho... read more »

Japanese white shirt Cotton On skater skirt Cheap Monday wedges generic black cardigan // Went to Jack Will's opening at Festive Walk last week. It's not the first store in Hong Kong so it really wasn't a huge huge deal. But I do like the brand and their stuff so nevertheless I was very excited to attend! Tried to work a preppy look, not sure if it really worked out all that well haha! It was crazy crowded and VIPs were given a goodie bag with a freebie tote specially made for the event (it had ... read more »
