As I've learnt on the last 10 months since I am a mother, babies are unique and each of them meets the expected milestones at their own pace. The developmental guidelines show only what a baby has the potential to accomplish in time, if not right now, then soon. If a baby was premature, needs a bit more time to meet their milestones and we have experienced that with both my niece and my baby daughter, even though they weren't born too early, both came into our lives 3 weeks earlier than expected. ... read more »
