邁向夏季的六月天，有時氣溫持續地居高不下，就算是信奉「民以食為天」的查理，難免也會感到食慾不振，這時候口味較重的食物就是能夠讓人能夠不懼怕天氣炎熱、振奮食慾的好幫手。這家跟查理之前介紹過位於 洛杉磯 Thai Town 的宵夜好去處 Ruen Pair 是屬於同家泰式餐廳位於 羅蘭崗 的分店。雖然沒有營業至深夜，但是地道重口味的泰式菜色一樣都是讓人食慾大開。 雖然附近也有幾家相當熱門的泰式餐廳，不過查理覺得這裡的菜餚在口味上最為道地。 各式各樣的泰式菜餚，選擇跟好萊塢那家一樣豐富，門口一樣也都放了一個魚缸，兩間店基本上是一樣的風格。 甜翻人的泰式奶茶或是冰咖啡，甚至是啤酒酸味更濃的泰式啤酒，都是夏日佐餐開胃的好幫手。厚實富有彈性口感的蝦餅，是每次必點的美食，醃製的青辣椒和辣醬也讓食物更加開胃。 泰式生蝦是查理相當喜愛的一道泰國菜餚，雖然蝦腸沒有去的很乾淨，不過這裡的蝦肉彈牙冰涼，與重口味的泰式香料和醬料一起入口，感覺活力就由口中爽快的嚼勁開始釋放。 生螃蟹青木瓜沙拉也是消暑必點的美食，涼涼脆脆的青木瓜和生猛的螃蟹，加上香辣酸甜的醬汁，暑意全消。 這裡的菜餚或沙拉，使用了大量的香料或醬汁調味，... read more »
說起來，住在 Rowland Heights 附近真是一件幸福的事，雖然華裔的居民佔了相當大的比例，但是其他族裔的居民也相當的活躍，而且相處融洽，從飲食習慣和文化上就可以看得出來，除了 中式、台式餐廳林立，其他像是 日式、韓式、 越式、泰式 料理等等，都有相當多元的選擇。這家 泰式 餐廳在當地開業許久，在提供多樣化的泰式菜色之外，更融合了美式的運動酒吧和現場演奏伴唱等，透過大尺寸的投影布幕來播放各類體育盛事，也有完整的酒吧和各式酒牌，從啤酒到烈酒或是獨創的泰式調酒等都有提供，是一個享用泰式美食、熱絡用餐的好去處。 這裡的泰式食物，針對當地的顧客有做稍稍的改良，口味比較不會像是傳統的泰式料理那般強烈，平時生意就相當好，遇到各類賽事時更是人聲鼎沸。不過今天查理很榮幸的能夠來參與這個由泰國知名的食品廠商舉辦的試吃會，並邀請了在泰國相當知名的烹飪名廚前來示範烹調。 現場的佈置還包括了一個簡易的烹飪設施，以及該品牌的各式醬料。當天的飲料，從口味濃郁的泰式奶茶到啤酒花氣味酸香的泰式啤酒，都是免費供應，看到那個凍到徹底的啤酒杯，真是讓人在心底大呼過癮。 以用餐環境來說，這家泰式餐廳算是相當有規模，雖然試吃美食的... read more »
Me and my hubby, we loves Thai food, especially Tom Yam. We have never fail to try out any Tom Yam that we see on the way. And this time round, it's at 19 USJ City Mall. Actually, we've tried their food long ago, when the restaurant was newly opened. The dishes were not bad, like their cashew nut chicken and fried belacan kangkung. Lat week, me & my hubby went for a scrumptious authentic Thai feast at Sawasde Thai Restaurant with our friends. It was to celebrate one of old buddy's birthday. Yesterday, the 3rd of Aug, was our 1st Marriage Anniversary. We went to Amaree Hot Pot at Subang Avenue for dinner. It was easy for us to choose the venue for this special day because 2 weeks ago we’ve bought RM60 cash voucher at 50% off from Groupon Malaysia. It’s really a good deal! As what I've told Marzie the other day, Puchong is a Food Paradise! Really! Here, you can get anything; thai, japanese, balenese, seafood, dim sum, chinese, malay, korean, you name it, we got it here. If you know where to dine, you'll never have a dissatisfy stomach. The recent Saturday, my friends & i went to Fish Valley Semenyih Restaurant for dinner, in celebration of my hubby's birthday which is on this coming 14th. Located near the Nirvana Memorial Park, Fish Valley Semenyih is as its name, is a fishing valley with several fishing ponds; both big and small and the restaurant in the centre.
