Getting around may cause so much hussle..with the bad traffic and many motorbikes on the road. Thats how HANOI is.. Well, actually you can just going around on foot, most of the places/attraction are nearby within the reach by walking distance. My experience: Airport to old quarter by taxi USD$17 (1hour journey) Some may offer higher rate like USD$20-30 So, my advice, use the meter taxi outside the airport or ask for the rates. These time I really packed light and go hike! For 9 days travelling usage. Only the necessary item to be brought with me and there is nothing worried about extra baggage or whatsoever... Apart from that, I switched my mindset from shopping traveller to scenic addict so I can be born wild and explore the nature as much as I want...
